El Festival de Primavera es uno de los eventos musicales mas importantes de Europa. Para el 2008 se celebra el LX festival su ofrece una competencia especial para las categorías de Oboe y Clarinete
Cada primavera solistas y orquestras de todo el mundo viajan a Praga para llenar la ciudad con música. A ellos se le unen orquestas nacionales taeles como La Sinfónica Radio-Praga, La Orquesta de Cámara de Praga y la Orquesta Sinfónica de Praga.
En el 2009 la competencia se concentrará en clarinete y Jazz.

This year, in Prague, will take place again the Khamoro festival, where musicians from all the world are singing everything from Gypsy jazz to traditional Roma folk songs. The festival offer also film screenings, book readings, an exhibition of photographs and all culminates with an international seminar - a tribute to Milena Hubschmannova, the founder of the Romany Studies Department at Prague's Charles University.

ChoirFest 2009. Prague serves as the destination for ChoirFest International 2009. The festival begins with rehearsals on Monday, July 27th, conducted by René Clausen. Featuring The Empire Brass in a concert of Songs of Celebration, the program will include the world premiere of an original piece by Mr. Clausen commissioned by ChoirFest.

The Prague Shakespeare Summer Festival is one of the most visited Shakespeare festivals in Europe, it is the oldest and biggest open-air theatre festival in Czech Republic, so it is worth visiting! The festival yearly hosts the best Czech performances, from theatres all around the country.
Although the plays are not performed in English, many foreign spectators are eager to see the performances. This is primarily because of the strong acting performances, the famous plays themselves and the atmosphere of the ancient castles as a scenic backdrop of the productions.

Christmas in Prague's Old Town Square.
Throughout December, Prague Christmas Market fills the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Havelska Street and Namesti Republiky with music, traditional food, shopping stalls and children entertainment. A huge Christmas tree, specially shipped from the Sumava mountains, lights up at 5pm.
The squares are within 10 minutes walking distance from each other and all feature entertainment, although the Old Town Square is where most of the Prague Christmas Market action takes place.
